Azusa Pacific University (APU) is one of our District’s partner universities and we are excited about the opportunity to allow CJUHSD students from each of our high schools to enroll in university classes at APU, at no cost, while still in high school. Because space is extremely limited, students will need to apply as soon as possible, but definitely prior to January 1 as we will close enrollment when the class is filled.
This course, Foundations of Kinesiology, will meet online on Mondays or Wednesdays from 3:30 – 5:30 pm beginning January 11 and ending prior to May 7.
Foundations of Kinesiology – KIN 102 (2 Units)
This course introduces the student to the professions of kinesiology by reviewing the historical foundations of the profession and defining the roles and responsibilities of the exercise scientist. Students learn about relevant professional associations and career opportunities in the field of kinesiology. A discussion of the Azusa Pacific University kinesiology curriculum is included with the goals, objectives, and requirements of the program as well as the expectations of kinesiology students. This foundational course is widely accepted at other colleges and universities, including the CSU and UC schools.
