Instruction

This branch of the Instructional Services Division advances teaching and learning across CJUHSD through professional learning, instructional coaching, teacher Induction, and curriculum development.

We partner with teachers, administrators, and school sites to strengthen Tier 1 instruction and foster continuous improvement. Our work includes professional learning, curriculum and instructional materials support, and coaching designed to help educators meet the needs of all learners. Through Universal Design for Learning, trauma-informed practices, social-emotional learning, and inclusive instructional strategies, we help teachers create engaging, inclusive, and challenging learning environments where every student can succeed.

As education continues to evolve, our team works alongside educators and students as they thoughtfully navigate emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, while maintaining a focus on strong instruction, critical thinking, and meaningful learning. We also support programs and opportunities that promote multilingualism, student engagement, and readiness for college, careers, and life beyond high school.
