COOL ROOFING

A cool roof is a roofing system with a membrane that is light in color. White Cool roofing systems reflect a significant percentage of sunlight. Lowering roof temperature means less heat entering a building, which reduces energy usage and peak demand electric power cost. Cool roofs help reduce the need for air conditioning and improves indoor air quality.

Montclair High School has installed reflective “Cool Roofing” on the Gymnasium, Industrial Arts, Avid Building, Grounds Building, and the A, B, C, D, E, F Buildings for a total of 215,650 SF.
