Gil Zendejas, Trustee

Gil Zendejas was elected to the Board of Trustees in 2018 and has served in all Board positions during his tenure.  Following high school, Mr. Zendejas joined the United States Air Force, serving in the Midwest, Europe, and the Far East.  During his military service, he attended the University of Maryland’s Military Campus and graduated from the Defense Information School.

In addition to owning a small business, Mr. Zendejas is the Vice President of a local aerospace company, providing goods and services to the U.S. Government, major defense contractors, and commercial airlines.  He is currently the Secretary/Treasurer of the Chaffey College Trust and the 2018 recipient of the Education Medal of Honor from the San Bernardino County School Boards Association.  He served on the Citizens’ Oversight Committee as a member and as its Vice Chair and served as a parent representative for Ontario High School’s Site Council for seven years.  For his strong advocacy of high school athletes, he was recruited and served on the CIF Parents’ Advisory Committee.

Mr. Zendejas has six children who attended Chaffey District High Schools.  He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Bible College, granted in part, for his work with at-risk youth.
