Bus Driver                           Location: Transportation                 Work Days: 180                  To begin: As Soon As Possible

Work Week/Duty Hours: Monday – Friday (6 hrs.; hrs. TBD)       Salary: Range 25; $28.88 - $34.54 per hr.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification/Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent; any combination of training and experience in the transportation industry.

Licenses and other Requirements:

Valid California Driver’s License, Class B with “P” and School Bus “S” endorsements

Valid California School Bus Driver’s Certificate

No vehicle type restrictions

Valid medical certificate issued by a District approved physician

Subject to random drug testing in accordance with Federal Regulations

First Aid and CPR Certificates or pass exam given by the Highway Patrol

Driving record acceptable to the District’s insurance carrier

Complete background investigation as required by the California Highway Patrol Desired Qualification:

Public school fleet driving experience.

Work Week/Duty Hours: Mon thru Fri; Hrs.: 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.             Salary: Range 20; $27.44 – $32.88 per hr.

Qualifications

Education/Certification/Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent; have one of the following:

  • An associates or higher college degree
  • The equivalent of at least two years of college credit (48 semester units)
  • Pass the Chaffey Academic Assessment Test

Licenses and other requirements:

Valid California Driver’s License.

A valid First Aid and CPR certificate.

Desired Qualification:

Experience working with individuals who have special needs.
